Hi everyone- we have met with Bridge a second time regarding their new plans and nothing has been formalised. Bridge currently have 4 new working architects drawings they have showed us and our understanding is that they they took these to planning officers at Runnymede council last week. These plans were just at drawing stages when we met, so as of yet we have not been provided with external heights or 3D images and therefore cannot be sure how that will effect the overall volume and mass
We believe we know which one they are favouring, and Bridge have stated that it the design is more in keeping with the existing units eg Screwfix. We think this is the plan they will be showcasing at the exhibition.
The working group have not commented to you regarding this yet, simply because we haven’t been able to meet since that meeting due to work and family commitments. But a meeting is imminent. After this meeting we will feed back to Bridge our comments about this plan.
We would encourage you to attend the exhibition and engage meaningfully with Bridge. This is your opportunity to express your concerns and issues with them regarding the build and what may go there. We believe that they are now listening, and used in the right way, the exhibition could be a very positive thing for our community.
